Central Park Players-Grand Haven, MI
Central Park Players is a community theatre organization dedicated to providing high quality theatre at affordable prices to Grand Haven and the Tri-Cities area since 1959.
Vibrant, compelling, engaging theatre and community outreach are all part of CPP’s plans for the future. Central Park Players is proud to be an important Tri-Cities asset and continues to build on that solid foundation laid nearly 150 years ago.
Coffee Gallery-Spring Lake, MI
Coffee Gallery features a unique environment for all seasons with outside pond stocked with exotic fish, ducks and flowers, plus an inside fireplace to complement the art works. The Gallery is open year round. Many nationally recognized artists are showcased in a multitude of media including artfully crafted sculptures, glass, pottery, Raku pottery and bronze, as well as paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor and mixed-media, plus artistically dramatic photography.
Depot Museum-Grand Haven, MI
Look through the window of time into the history of the Tri-Cities and Northwest Ottawa County. The Depot Museum location, situated on the banks of the Grand River in the former Grand Trunk Railroad depot, provides a glimpse at the past, a view of our nautical heritage, and a learning experience for all to enjoy. The Museum’s two floors house a variety of artifacts depicting the rich heritage of the area: from fur trading and lumbering to the United States Coast Guard and railroads; visitors will understand the influence that people, industry, religion, and culture played in shaping who we are and where we’ve been. The Museum’s Coast Guard Room is full of locally-crafted scale models of Coast Guard ships and other Great Lakes and Grand River vessels. Victorian period rooms, agriculture, toy and other exhibits portray day-to-day lifestyles all will find enjoyable.
Gallery Uptown-Grand Haven, MI
One of Michigan's Oldest and finest galleries. The Gallery Uptown has been voted Best Gallery three years in a row. All work is original and done by award-winning West Michigan artists. Styles range from photorealism to abstract, and media includes watercolor, acrylic, oil, oil pastel, pastel, wood, fiber, glass and clay. Some prints of work by the same artists are available in a special print room.
The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company-Grand Haven
Based in Grand Haven, Michigan, the Pigeon Creek shakespeare Company seeks to offer performances of
Shakespeare's works to Michigan audiences in a variety of
non-traditional theatre venues. Pigeon Creek Shakespeare
employs techniques of theatrical performance such as universal lighting and audience contact to adapt its productions to multiple performance venues, and to actively engage audience members in performance. The company's goals are to explore the original
theatrical practices of the acting companies of Shakespeare's time; to provide high quality productions of works by Shakespeare and his contemporaries to regional theatre audiences; to provide local actors, directors, and stage managers the opportunity to work with these wonderful scripts and to receive training in an original practice approach to Shakespeare's plays; and to maintain an organizational philosophy in which theatre practitioners participate in the administration of the company on a regular basis.
