Choosing the Grand Haven Area in the summer time means an opportunity to experience loads of adventure and fun!
Perhaps you're interested in a vacation of rest and relaxation; a book on the Area Beaches, strolling the boardwalk and leisurely Shopping in the historic downtown. You could choose to have a nice Dining experience in the upscale Kirby Grill Room. Maybe a meal at The Bilmar watching the sun set over Lake Michigan and listening to the waves breaking against the shore. Or you could consider a great meal, glass of fine wine with live jazz music at The Grand Seafood & Oyster Bar. From there it's only a short walk from the historic downtown district to the world's largest musical fountain. Following the fountain you could gaze at the stars, walk the boardwalk or head back to your room for a good nights rest. In the morning try breakfast at Dee-Lite or Morning Star for some downtown local flavor or head across town to Jeannes Cafe which has great hometown charm.

Family fun vacations are always a big hit for the Grand Haven area - kids love us! In the summer time, the beach is always the biggest attraction for kids of all ages; building sand castles, splashing in the water and running about in the sand. A day at the beach with the family is big fun! But don't forget about the fun things to do like the Tri-Cities Historical Museum, Yogi’s Fun Zone or Mackinaw Kite Company. Kids also enjoy Imagination Station where they can swing, climb and hideout in a fort all situated in a city park setting. Bring your bikes (or rent them at Rock n’ Road Cycle) to explore the miles and miles of paved and maintained bike paths. What a great way to experience the area with your family and friends.
