Ferrysburg

Ferrysburg is not a new community.  Rather it has its roots woven deeply into the fabric of the Tri-Cities area.  It is hoped that you will find this chronology not only interesting but useful to focus on those events that have brought us the Ferrysburg we know today. Learn the rich past of Ferrysburg, by viewing their history timeline.

Enjoy Coast Guard Park, the old U.S. Coast Guard Riffle Range, complete with volleyball, tennis, and basketball courts, a covered picnic shelter, and play area. Nestled between the dunes and wooded trees, this park provides a great family setting.

Lace up your hiking shoes and meander the trails, some of which connect Coast Guard Park with PJ Hoffmaster State Park, and North Beach Park of Ferrysburg. Located on Lake Michigan, North Beach Park provides not only sunbathing and swimming opportunities, but also has a picnic shelter, playground, and a barrier-free beach walkway, in addition to sand volleyball courts.

If you prefer to pedal your way around town, use the bike trail. Take the route along W. Spring Lake Rd to loop around Spring Lake or cut across Taft Rd. towards the waterfront. View the complete listing of routes by downloading the bike map or requesting a mailing of the map by calling 800-303-4092.

Just a drive across the bridge from Grand Haven, visit the town of Ferrysburg for a relaxing day at the park!
