Paddle Down River or Along the Lake

Gather the family and head out for an adventure by kayaking or canoeing on the river and lakes in the Grand Haven area. While there may not be any Class IV Rapids around here, there are sure to be lasting memories and good times.

Happy Mohawk Canoe Livery in Montague is approximately 45 minutes North of Grand Haven along the White River. Here you can choose from kayaks, canoes, rafts, or tubes to float your way down the river. They provide the transportation, paddles and personal flotation devices with watercraft rentals. Already have a kayak or canoe? Many parks in the Grand Haven area offer kayak/canoe launches and you can pick up paddlesport gear at Earths Edge. There are many paddle events throughout the area including trips with Ottawa County Parks and the Grand River Kayak Race in June. You can also download river maps here.
