Enjoy the outdoors no matter what time of year!

The wide variety of experiences range from hiking towering dunes, strolling soft sand beaches to exploring trails through the dense forest land; it's all available and much more!

Around every corner in the Grand Haven area there is a park or trail with areas for hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding or birdwatching.

Our area parks are popular for group gatherings including company picnics, family reunions, and school outings. Many parks offer picnic areas & shelters, grills, trails, baseball fields, basketball courts, soccer fields, restrooms, and more. A great group activity is to explore the area parks through Geocaching - a real life treasure hunt!

When the snow begins to fly, area parks still offer plenty of opportunities for recreation and entertainment. Try your hand at cross-country skiing or snowshoeing along the miles and miles of groomed and ungroomed trails. Sledding, skiing, snowboarding, skating, and ice fishing keep Michigan outdoor traditions alive and offer the chance to experience something new.

This is a four-season region so fill up your water bottle, pack some trail mix, and discover the parks of the Grand Haven area!
