Situated between Spring Lake and the Grand River, the Village of Spring Lake was originally founded as the Village of Millpoint Launch in 1849. Yet in 1869 the first Village Charter was adopted and now it is known as the Village of Spring Lake. With a population of just over 2,500, the 1.1 square miles of the village, bustles with activity.
Only a jog across the river from Grand Haven, there are great events and restaurants for the visitor to enjoy! Plan your visit and stay at the Holiday Inn, located right on the water.
As a community with a passion for Going Green, stop by the local Farm and Garden Market every Thursday between May and October, from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Church Street to partake in local products.
Launch your boat at Mill Point Park, into the Grand River for a fun day of boating. Afterwards stay at the Park on Thursdays for Thursdays at the Point. This free event takes place every Thursday through the summer from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.
Cast your line into the waters from Spring Lake to spend the afternoon fishing. William Ferry Park, Jackson Street Dock, and Mill Point Park are great places to hook ‘em.
